calendars, with no pictures, only dull green borders I
associate with 60s office files. Back then, she tracked
the usual stuff any of us might write down.

a curious mix of the formal and informal. She notes
herself as Marie, perhaps so Papa

no other but her own. By then, though, they probably
already called Papa=s
mother, Theresa,

We, her grandchildren, always called her Grandmother,
because she said she hated the tacky sound of grandma,
drawing out the ä like the baaing of a sheep. |
